"I Can't Do It" From "I Can Do It"
When a person says, "I can't do it". . . I often wonder, "What specifically do you mean by that statement?"
Perhaps you don't like to do it, but declaring you "can't" do it is an entirely different narrative.
With the proper perspective, a positive attitude, and a transparent vision of what you want to achieve, the only specialty keeping you back is yourself.
Can't is a horrible word that must be carried out of your vocabulary.
By declaring you can't do something, you're already questioning yourself, advancing to defeat, and pulling that barricade around your life.
So today, right now, we are going to extract this word for good.
From now on, there are no limitations to what we can't achieve.
Your attitude is a tattoo; it stays with you
Your attitude is everything: your cause, why and how, your facial expression, feelings, body language, and potentially the result. How you close an opportunity and the impact of it is only based on you — not your supervisor, co-worker, or companion.
If you join a business conference with an acidic attitude, that negative energy can spread like wildfire. Someone can also sense it — maybe even taste it. This is not an appearance you want to strand.
Now visualize you entering a business conference with a positive attitude, that whatever occurs here will be your result, in your control, not somebody else's. Of course, we can't consistently win, but your attitude and perception can turn it positive, even if the impact is negative. The question is: can you do it?
Of course, you can because there is nothing you can't do in this world.
It's much better to be known for your positive attitude — your peace, your fuel, the cause things go so well because you can hold such character. A negative attitude is effortless. It's effortless to complain, easy to be mad, and even more effortless to do nothing to change it.
When I express your "attitude is a tattoo," it declares permanent. Tattoos can be withdrawn, but that's not the attribute. Your attitude is like a tattoo because you sport it. Somebody can witness it, and occasionally, they will evaluate you on it. It is permanent if you carry a negative attitude until you modify it.
Change your attitude, and I ensure the results reverse as well.
Believe That You Can Do It
It's our absence of self-esteem and worries on many various levels. The one thing we have to cleanse from ourselves is nervousness — fear of poor results, fear of transformation, fear of rejection, fear of defeat, the fear that causes us to worry and lose sleep. Worrying is like going outdoors with an umbrella, waiting for the rain to pound it. Stop fearing and move on.
Confidence is breakable: It constructs up slowly but can break like glass. Project your spirit and energy into believing in yourself. This is an essential and groundbreaking step — usually the toughest to take. Start disclosing to yourself you can do something, anything, and you will accomplish it to the best of your capability. Remove suspicion, remove worry, and adhere to positive energy.
Embrace Failure
Do not fear failure. Could you not run away from it? Face it, discover from it, develop, and take a move. Just remember: You will only know success if you have succeeded.
Your confidence will brace after embracing these attributes. You will be immune to demoralizing outcomes; instead, you will find ways to repair, enhance, and improve. You will learn never to say "can't" and discover how many more possibilities you can make by removing that one word.
Don't let one easy and ugly word invade your confidence. You're sounder and more robust than that.
Begin to make a difference.
But to truthfully start the revolution of change is very challenging.
Why is that?
Anxiety? Term? Don't understand how — or where — to begin?
It isn't easy because what we're accomplishing is unlearning what we understand. We are used to doing things a certain way, and we've been doing them for years.
So here are some ways I avoid using the word "can't" and take steps to implement the change I expect to see. I hope you can incorporate these techniques into your life.
Write Down What You Would Like To Change
Note it on post-its, notecards, whatever makes you comfy — something you will consistently see. I usually note mine on Post-its and place them all over the wall after my monitor, so I consistently see them.
Share with a friend and discuss your Goal
Consulting your goals and what you like to change is very useful when you express it and tell someone other than yourself. It's nearly like saying, hey, I bet I can do it — watch me.
When you achieve that goal and inform your friend, it feels rewarding and will encourage you to do it again in a future aspect. Who knows? Your companion may embrace the same mindset as you.
STOP YOURSELF FROM SAYING THE FORBIDDEN WORD
Sometimes, I can't hold myself in the crowd with friends, so I have to be careful with my buzzes so I don't embarrass or insult anyone.
Regale "can't" is the worst word you can use. Stop yourself from telling it mid-sentence if you must, and turn your entire mindset around — you can do it, you will do it, and anything is possible for me!
REPETITION, REPETITION, REPETITION
Will this change be overnight? No way. This is a practice you will continue to do for the rest of your life.
As I said earlier, you need to learn what you understand. You know how easy it is to say you can't accomplish something, so by unlearning this effortless practice; you're self-disciplining yourself to live without limits.
Practice this a slight at a time every single day, and before you understand it, the word can't be part of your vocabulary.
Try anything that can ease your uncertainty.
Whenever I find myself saying, "I can't do it" or "I don't know," I find that researching and educating myself on the subject or action helps to alleviate any uncertainty I may have.
At times, we may feel incapable of accomplishing something due to the overwhelming nature of the task. We overlook the small steps required and solely concentrate on the outcome.
If you feel like you can't accomplish something, take a moment to pause and reflect. Instead of getting overwhelmed, concentrate on the first step you need to take and then move on to the next one. By taking it one step at a time, you'll be surprised at how much progress you can make and how much you can achieve.
Closing Remarks
You know what action to take, and it starts now. Once you adopt this new habit and start seeing results, you'll discover that opportunities are abundant and all around you.
It's amusing to think about how those doors have always existed. However, using offensive words has closed our eyes to their presence due to their immense power.
